My wife and I were first time parents and needed to find a daycare that we would be comfortable with and alleviate the added worries of being first time parents. Katie was warm, welcoming, informative, and responsive to our needs and questions. The teachers are great and equally responsive to our needs as a family! You can truly tell they enjoy what they do and love being around children. They help and support each other throughout the day so the kids’ needs are always met. We have personal experience with how well everyone supports each other when our daughter was diagnosed with developmental hip dysplasia.

We now have our little boy enrolled at Ginger Bread and we look forward to many more years of their amazing care for our kids. We are so grateful for the nurturing environment the Gingerbread house has provided to assist in the development of our son. The teachers and director at this facility go above and beyond with their attention to detail in his daily care. Our son started when he was around 6 months, for the past year and a half I drive an extra 30 minutes out of my way so he can attend this daycare and I will continue to do so.

She needed to be placed in a spica cast that was essentially a full body cast. You can imagine the stress we felt for our little girl and the extra attention and care she would need in her classroom. The staff at Ginger Bread House couldn’t have handled her situation any better. Not only did they care for her as we do, but they also took time to help her catch up with developmental milestones like standing again, walking, and running. My wife’s mother has run a licensed In-Home Daycare for over 30 years, so we have very high standards as a family, and we can’t recommend this center enough.

In addition to holding and cuddling the infants, our teachers are always interacting with them to encourage their mental and physical development. Your child will develop the ability to grasp toys, vocalize sounds, recognize pictures of familiar objects and acquire a variety of other skills. The Gingerbread House Preschool and Childcare Center is a Catholic ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities. The Center strives to recognize and accept each individual as he/she fulfills and achieves his/her God-given potential from infancy through six years of age. The Gingerbread House has been serving the city of Syracuse and it’s surrounding communities for over thirty years, and is committed to offering our parents and children a loving and nurturing Catholic environment.

Thanks to the support of our fabulous Moms who spread the word (to their closest friends) we have had a wait list for years. We are proud to announce that due to the overwhelming support we have now expanded to our second Milford location. Over the past 6 years we have taken both our kids to GBH and immediately felt like family. All the teachers have gone above and beyond to ensure they have a safe place to learn, develop & grow into their personalities.

We provide a well-equipped, varied, and stimulating atmosphere for children to learn and explore.

I have recommended GBH to all my friends, family, and coworkers, and will continue to do so for many years to come. Our daughter is 4 and has been attending Ginger Bread House for 3 years. Staff also does a great job with daily activities and occasional fun field trips for the older kids. I cannot say enough good things about Gingerbread and the teachers/ staff. My son Lincoln absolutely LOVES going there daily and runs in to give hugs. This shows us that he is getting cared for, having fun and we can tell he is learning lots!!

They also begin more structured activities, such as learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will begin learning concepts of color and size, and will start to build their vocabulary. Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play. The teacher reinforces the babies’ development without disrupting their daily schedule.

We provide a clean, safe facility in which a child feels secure to explore and comfortably express him/herself. We create a family-oriented atmosphere by intentionally promoting staff-to-parent interactions and staff-to-child relationships. It does take a village to raise children this day in age, and am fortunate that GBH has always been with us.

Not only has it been a place where I can trust the staff but, my kids love being there and we consider the staff a part of our family. Highly recommend the Gingerbread to anyone that is in need of trusted loving care.
